Patrick Mundy grew up in the North Bay and attended the University of California at Berkeley in the mid 1980s, where he found a shockingly large number of self-identified young Republicans in the mix. Fortunately, radical progressivism was still very much alive and well in and around campus.
Patrick marched against the first Iraq war, helped organize legal resistance to the dismantling of KPFA in 1999, and has done phone-banking and canvassing for any number of progressive campaigns. He became much more active in the primary cycle leading up to the Democratic Primary of 2016, where he lead teams of canvassers in Iowa, Nevada and at home in California. He helped co-found Rock The Congress in the spring of 2017. He takes great pride in the fact that his 8-year-old daughter thinks it is a normal and everyday thing to attend organizing meetings, marches, and city council meetings.
By day Pat consults on business systems and data integration and can occasionally be found playing drums in some band or other.
